The people and places that shape Maine. Brought to the table.
We started Anchor Point Games because the best stories happen around a table. Our games are rooted in the working world of Maine -- the lobstermen on Penobscot Bay, the teams racing the Passagasawakeag, the history that doesn't make the highlight reel.
Anchor Point Games is an indie tabletop studio in Swanville, Maine, founded by Cindy Wren and Greg Birgfeld. Greg grew up on the waterfront in Searsport, shaped by the working rhythms of Penobscot Bay. Cindy comes from a background in operations and storytelling.
We make strategy board games about the people and places that define Maine's working world. Not the postcard version -- the lobstermen who haul before dawn, the teams who've raced the Passagasawakeag for generations, the tall ship history that shaped this coast. We think those stories deserve a place at the table. So we put them there.
Our games are designed for families, serious players, and people discovering tabletop strategy for the first time. Easy to learn. Hard to put down. Worth coming back to.

"When I first saw the message about Corker, my first response was, 'I have to have that for Go Fish.' The concept was irresistible. It felt like a perfect fit for my store, my community, and all who visit."
March 2026
"When I saw people smiling and laughing and groaning, 'aw man,' 'oh yay,' seeing that emotion of them being involved in the game was the most rewarding part."
